Marker Text: Josepha Rodríguez, known as "Chipita," was hanged in for the murder of John Savage.

Some claim she was buried alive, some say she was framed for political activity.

She was hanged at sunrise from a mesquite tree on Friday the 13th, convicted on purely circumstantial evidence and buried in an unmarked grave.
